Congratulations to Stephanie Nwagwu, recipient of the 2025 Nursing Scholarship from The Power of YOU!

Stephanie is a second-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at Wayne State University and the first in her family to attend college.

Driven by a passion to serve, advocate, and uplift women in disadvantaged communities, Stephanie is an active leader and volunteer with organizations such as Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc. and Umu Igbo Unite Detroit. She is also the founder of Promise Girl Prayer Circle, a space dedicated to supporting the spiritual and emotional wellness of women.

Despite financial challenges, Stephanie chose to pursue nursing full time—prioritizing her education, leadership, and commitment to service. She aspires to continue her studies and earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in women’s health.
